We Build Things
That Make People Smile.
HMPFAC is a small product brand out of Pennsylvania built on a simple belief: practical engineering and genuine fun don’t have to be mutually exclusive. If the idea is bold enough, ridiculous enough, and made well enough — it’s worth building.
The Person Behind It
I’m a mechanical engineer with a degree, four years of formal experience, and over 20 years of building, tinkering, and making things in garages, shops, and anywhere else I could find a problem worth solving.
Before HMPFAC, I spent years in heavy-duty trucking, fleet operations, precision manufacturing, and additive manufacturing — working on production systems, automation, and product development across industries that don’t usually talk to each other. That cross-industry background is the whole point: good ideas travel across categories, and the best solutions often come from looking somewhere unexpected.
I also run High Mountain Precision LLC — a contract manufacturing and product development company built on the same philosophy. HMPFAC is the consumer-facing side of that same engineering mind, pointed squarely at making things people didn’t know they needed.
How It Started
HMPFAC started with a wrench and a dad who was impossible to buy for.
I’d been making small novelty adjustable wrenches at work — desk pieces, conversation starters, internal marketing material. They were fun. People liked them. And somewhere in the back of my head I always thought: what if one of these were enormous?
So I scaled it up to 6.5 feet, sectioned it into printable pieces, and built it just in time for Father’s Day. Put his name on the handle in big yellow letters.
He set it on top of his red toolbox. Every single person who’s walked into that garage since has asked about it first. It became the thing in the room — the thing that stopped people mid-sentence and made them want to know the story behind it.
That reaction — and the conversation I had with my dad afterward — is what made me decide to build a business around this. Not just the wrench. The whole idea: bold, creative, precision-made products that earn their place in a room.
HMPFAC is where I get to do that at scale.
What HMPFAC Is
HMPFAC is the product and brand division of High Mountain Precision LLC — built for making things that are imaginative, conversation-starting, and engineered to actually be worth owning. The products are novelty and collectible by nature, but the craftsmanship behind them is anything but.
Every product in the HMPFAC lineup is designed in Fusion 360, printed on Bambu Lab machines, hand-assembled, and inspected in our Pennsylvania shop before it ships. Made to order, built in the USA, shipped directly from the person who built it.
What We Make
The Big Ass Adjustable Wrench is the flagship — but it’s not the whole story. HMPFAC is a growing product line built around the idea that engineering and creativity belong together.
The Engineering Behind It
The Company Behind HMPFAC
HMPFAC is the consumer product side of High Mountain Precision LLC — a contract manufacturing and product development company built on 20+ years of hands-on experience across heavy-duty trucking, precision manufacturing, additive technologies, and automation.
The same engineering principles that go into industrial product development go into every HMPFAC product — the difference is that HMPFAC gets to skip the boring part and go straight to the ridiculous.
Why I’m Doing This
Since I was a kid, the dream was to make things. Not just design them or help someone else build them — actually make them, put them into the world, and watch people react to them the way my dad reacted to that first wrench.
I’m in the process of leaving my full-time engineering job to build HMPFAC and several other ventures full-time. That’s not a casual decision. I have a family counting on me to make it work:
That’s the real motivation. Every order matters. Every product matters. Every customer who gets something from HMPFAC gets something that was built by someone who has passion for their work — and cares deeply that everyone is satisfied.
